Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy explains how CoronaSDR handles information when you use the app and this website. CoronaSDR is built for connecting to your own rtl_tcp SDR server on a local network. The app and website are created and maintained by Silviu YO6SAY.

Data stored on your device

CoronaSDR stores settings and radio data locally on your device, including for example:

  • last server host and port,
  • radio preferences (mode, frequency, gain, filters),
  • saved stations, tags, and local import/export files.

Telemetry and diagnostics

CoronaSDR can send crash and performance diagnostics to Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance. These diagnostics are used to improve reliability and latency.

Telemetry metadata is sanitized and does not include raw hostnames, IP addresses, or LAN endpoint URLs. Radio IQ/audio stream data is not uploaded as telemetry.

Network permissions

The app requests Local Network access to connect to your SDR server. This connection is between your device and the server you configure.

Third-party services

If enabled in your app build, diagnostics are processed by Firebase services operated by Google. Their privacy practices apply to that processing.

Your choices

You can stop using CoronaSDR at any time and remove app data by uninstalling the app. You can also avoid connecting to servers you do not trust.
